That the Parliament celebrates Community Renewal Rom Romeha on its award at the Social Enterprise Scotland Awards in the category, Building Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Justice, and for further being shortlisted in the UK-wide awards; believes that Community Renewal Rom Romeha is performing a crucial service supporting Scotland’s biggest Roma community in Govanhill, by providing support in eight languages for migrant Roma and assisting them in different areas, such as dealing with discrimination, finances, work, health and housing, and helping families overcome what it believes can be significant language and literacy barriers; acknowledges its work with Roma youth, including offering them traineeships and mentorship; congratulates the team for engaging with over 1,000 Roma families and securing over £1 million in additional income for families who have been facing poverty and inequality, and appreciates the work that the team has been carrying out and its impact in empowering the Roma people and enriching the Govanhill area.
