Fife College Students Selected as Young Scottish Chef Ambassadors

That the Parliament congratulates the students at Fife College, Kyle Anderson-McGregor from Dunfermline, Chelsea Dick from Glenrothes and Leah Carstairs from Cupar, on their selection to be among the 30 Young Scottish Chef Ambassadors by the Federation of Chefs Scotland; acknowledges that what it sees as this prestigious initiative was launched to mark the 30th anniversary of the federation and aims to inspire trainee chefs to deepen their engagement with the culinary industry; notes that the ambassadors will participate in a range of activities, including masterclasses, competitions, supplier visits and field trips, as well as events ranging from fine-dining experiences to large-scale functions, such as football matches and concerts; highlights that the programme will provide invaluable opportunities to enhance the students' industry knowledge, develop key skills and build vital networks for their future careers; commends the efforts of Fife College staff, including Barry Scott, who is the academic and quality manager in department of culinary arts, hospitality and events, for supporting the students in achieving this; celebrates the students' upcoming participation in the Scottish Culinary Championships at ScotHot in Glasgow in February 2025, and wishes Kyle, Leah, and Chelsea continued success as they represent Fife and continue to build networks and skills that are crucial for their future careers.
