That the Parliament congratulates Northwest Amateur Boxing Club on its string of wins at a recent boxing event; understands that the Kilmarnock-based club sent eight boxers to the prestigious King of the Ring event in Boras, Sweden, which is the world's largest male boxing tournament, with over 700 fighters from 25 countries; recognises that the local lads were competing alongside national teams, international boxers and even Olympians across the three-day event, and that all eight proved that they belong on the international stage, with a number of fantastic performances; further recognises that Aidan Sarwar, Hugh Clark, Kyle Conway, Tyler Kerr, Flynn Dunbar, Aaron Sarwar, William Clark and Euan Strachan, who were representing the club, collectively bagged seven standing eight counts, two stoppages and a knockout; notes that it was not just the boxers doing the club proud, with the club's official, James Martin, judging a remarkable 110 bouts and 330 rounds across three days, with his accuracy and professionalism resulting in him being awarded the Best Judge trophy; congratulates the impressive performances of the Northwest boxers, who returned home with three silver medals, two gold medals, the Best Junior Boxer trophy, the Best Judge trophy and, the cherry on top, the much sought after Prince of the Ring belt, and commends everyone at Northwest Amateur Boxing Club for these achievements.
