That the Parliament congratulates the owners and staff of Teuchters Landing, based at the Shore in Leith, on winning Inverarity Morton’s Best Drinks Offering at the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards 2024; notes that Teuchters Landing first opened its doors in 2008, and considers it to be a renowned and celebrated bar in the Edinburgh Northern and Leith constituency; understands that the judges were searching "for a venue that displays creative forward-thinking and is inclined to think outside of the box when it comes to developing its drinks list"; further understands that the bar has a large whisky selection, which includes around 90 single malts, around 20 international and blended whiskies, and its famous Hoop of Destiny, as featured on the BBC documentary, Scotch! The Story of Whisky, as well as offering a diverse range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks; commends Teuchters Landing for winning this award in recognition of what it sees as its excellent customer service, as well as the bar’s ability to diversify and cater to the preferences of a wide range of customers that walk through its doors, and wishes Teuchters Landing continued success for the future as part of what it considers to be a remarkable hospitality industry and scene in the Leith area.
