Pauline Nicol Bowie MBE

That the Parliament congratulates Pauline Nicol Bowie, founder of Low Income Families Together (LIFT), on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to the community in Muirhouse, Edinburgh; notes that Ms Bowie received honours in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List 2024, which highlights individuals who have had an immeasurable impact on the lives of people across the country and driven change in public life; commends Ms. Bowie and LIFT for their work providing supports such as skill development, food sharing, and emotional support to enable individuals and families to move forward from poverty and crises; recognises what it sees as the significant work that Ms. Bowie has done for the improvement in quality of life for all those that she and LIFT have helped, and wishes them well for the future.
