Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government how it will ensure that any COVID-19 vaccine certification scheme does not exert pressure on a child to take a vaccination that they might not want to be given, in order to be able to participate fully in society.

To ask the Scottish Government what assessment was made of deer-browsing damage in all state forests prior to a licence being given to Forestry and Land Scotland to cull them out-of-season; what its response is to reports that data seen by the Scottish Gamekeepers Association suggests a cull grid reference location to be outside of state forestry, and what its position is on whether out-of-season licences should be used on the open hill and not in state forestry boundaries.

To ask the Scottish Government whether, under its proposed short-term let licensing regime, some types of tourist accommodation, such as hotels, serviced accommodation, mobile accommodation and licensed caravans, will be exempt from licensing in respect of health and safety, but with this being mandatory for bed and breakfast and self-catering businesses, and, if so, for what reasons.
