Minutes: 12 December 2024

1. Declaration of interests:

Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. The following interests were declared:

Murdo Fraser declared he is a member of the Law Society of Scotland but is not practicing;

Ben Macpherson declared he is registered with the Law Society of Scotland on the roll of Scottish Solicitors;

Ash Regan had no relevant interests to declare; and

Lorna Slater declared previous employment with Orbital Marine Power Ltd and that she is a member of Unite the Union. 

2. Choice of Convener:

The Committee chose Ben Macpherson as its Convener.

3. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.

4. Working practices and work programme:

The Committee considered and agreed its working practices and work programme for the early meetings in the New Year, and that work programme discussions, draft reports and reviews of evidence will be taken in private at future meetings.
