Language in the Parliament

The Scottish Parliament is a place that uses a lot of words. But different parts and people in the Parliament use language differently.

There are 2 different comics. Part 1 was made by Fraserburgh Academy. It looks at how:

• language can be used in speechwriting to create impact
• the Official Report turns MSPs spoken words into a permanent written record

Part 2 was made by Beath High School. It looks at how:

• SPICe (our researchers) organise and present information for MSPs and the public
• to draft new legislation
