That the Parliament congratulates Dionne Maguinness, a young athlete from the Airdrie Harriers Athletics club based at Langloan in Coatbridge, on her extraordinary achievements during the 2025 indoor season; notes that Dionne has secured four Scottish national Gold medals, triumphing in the long jump, high jump, and pentathlon at national level, and that she is now ranked number one in the UK for both indoor and outdoor under-15 pentathlon; believes that such accomplishments are the result of Dionne’s outstanding commitment, discipline and relentless work ethic; acknowledges what it sees as the invaluable support of her coaches, whose guidance and expertise have been instrumental, and her family, whose encouragement has been a vital foundation for her success; commends the Airdrie Harriers club for fostering young talent and promoting excellence in athletics, and wishes Dionne continued success in her sporting journey as a role model for young athletes across Scotland.
