That the Parliament congratulates the Telugu Association of Scotland on hosting its annual Ugadi Sambaralu event, marking a vibrant celebration of Telugu culture, tradition and togetherness; considers that Ugadi is New Year’s Day according to the Hindu calendar and is celebrated by Telugus and Kannadigas in the south east and south of India; understands that this year's celebrations took place at Dalkeith Schools Community Campus and featured over 100 performers who showcased the culture of the Telugu community in Scotland, including solo and group dances, skits and classical pieces; thanks all those who planned and supported the events, including volunteers and performers; believes that events such as Ugadi Sambaralu highlight Edinburgh’s diverse communities, and wishes all those who marked Ugadi, and the Telugu community in Scotland, well for the future.
