Glasgow Student Named Runner-up at Scottish Student Chef of the Year 2025

That the Parliament congratulates Ross Gourlay, a student at the City of Glasgow College, on being named runner-up in the prestigious Knorr Professional Scottish Student Chef of the Year 2025 competition; notes that this recognition highlights Ross’s exceptional culinary skills and the high standards of the City of Glasgow College’s culinary programme; acknowledges the competition’s theme of "Feel Good Food", which encouraged contestants to create dishes focused on wellbeing, nutrition and reducing food waste; considers that Ross’s impressive performance reflects the creativity, skill and passion that he brought to the competition; commends the role of the City of Glasgow College and its staff in nurturing talent like Ross, and celebrates the success of their students in national competitions, and wishes Ross continued success in his culinary career.
