That the Parliament congratulates Henry Healy’s Café on Queen Street on being named the Best Café in Glasgow by the readers of the Glasgow Times, a well-deserved recognition of the café’s longstanding tradition of quality service, community involvement and dedication to providing exceptional food and hospitality in the heart of Glasgow; acknowledges the significant achievement of the owner, Lynn Mortimer, who took over the café in 2009 after the business, founded by Henry Healy in 1912, faced closure; notes that, under Lynn’s leadership, the café has not only survived but thrived, offering a modern twist on traditional offerings while maintaining its cherished legacy and commitment to excellence; commends the dedication of the store manager, Lisa McInally, who has played a pivotal role in the café’s success over the last three years, and the entire staff, whose hard work and collaborative spirit have helped build a loyal customer base; acknowledges the vital role that independent cafés like Henry Healy’s play in fostering local identity and providing a sense of connection and belonging to residents and visitors alike, offering a space where people can enjoy quality food; applauds the success of Henry Healy’s Café as a proud example of Glasgow’s entrepreneurial spirit, and extends its best wishes for continued success and growth in the years ahead.
