That the Parliament congratulates the Davidson Legacy Preservation Group on securing funding of £320,000 to save the ancestral family home of William C Davidson from demolition; understands that the mid-19th century cottage holds an important place in the earliest chapter of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle legacy; notes that the cottage was due to be demolished for development but was saved by the Davidson Legacy Preservation Group and funding of £250,000 from the Community Ownership Fund, crowdfunding and a donation from the Harley-Davidson company; acknowledges the group’s plan to develop the cottage into a community-led facility for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts across the world, and wishes the Davidson Legacy Preservation Group every success on its next exciting chapter.
