That the Parliament welcomes the return of Aberdeen Performing Arts’ multi-arts festival, "Light the Blue", this summer; notes that the festival, which will be held over 15 days, from 1 to 15 June 2025, will feature over 25 events across venues and spaces across the city, both indoor and outdoor, with a programme featuring theatre, music, dance, film, visual arts and more; understands that over 1,000 young and professional artists from Aberdeen and across Scotland will feature in the programme, with young creatives involved in co-designing Family Arts Day on 8 June 2025, which will focus on work for and by primary school-aged children and their families; hopes that the festival entertains and inspires all those who attend it, particularly young people who may go on to embark on a career in the creative arts, and wishes the organisers and all the performers the best of luck.
