That the Parliament acknowledges and commemorates International Transgender Day of Visibility, which is celebrated annually on 31 March; understands that it was established in 2009 to honour the strength and contribution of trans and non-binary individuals to communities and wider society in the face of what was considered a deep-rooted history of discrimination; recognises what it sees as the dedication and vital work of organisations in the north east, including 4 Pillars in Aberdeen, Under one Rainbow in Forfar, and TransUnite in Dundee, and their unwavering commitment to providing essential support and services to uplift and empower the transgender community, and commits, in light of International Transgender Day of Visibility, to continuing to take inclusive action that further supports the wellbeing of trans individuals and ensures that their rights are actively advocated for and protected.
