That the Parliament recognises the ongoing contribution of Friends of Elder Park; understands that its purpose is to protect and maintain Govan’s vital green space, Elder Park; further understands that its members do this through promoting education and community development, supporting environmental protection and improvement and providing recreational facilities and activities; recognises what it sees as the positive impact that Friends of Elder Park has on its community by ensuring that they have access to a safe, green and upkept outdoor space; commends members on their commitment to improving Elder Park through projects such as the Wildflower Avenue and Rose Garden Restoration, and wishes Friends of Elder Park well on any future endeavours.
