That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that PAMIS will become the sole chair of the Changing Places Toilet Consortium from the end of March 2025; recognises what it sees as the vital work of PAMIS, as co-founders of the campaign, in promoting inclusion and accessibility for people with complex disabilities and the significant contribution of Muscular Dystrophy UK as co-chair since 2017, and welcomes its ongoing support for the consortium; commends the impact of the campaign, including securing Scottish Government investment and increasing the number of changing places toilets across the UK; notes the Scottish Government’s reintroduction of the previously promised £10 million investment to expand the provision of these essential facilities, ensuring more people can participate fully in society with dignity and respect; welcomes the development of a quality charter to establish high standards for changing places toilets nationwide, and calls on the Scottish Government, local authorities and businesses to continue prioritising accessibility and the right to appropriate toilet facilities for all.
