Scotland Wins Bronze at the Kabaddi World Cup 2025

That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland National Men’s Kabaddi team upon winning bronze at the Kabaddi World Cup 2025; understands that Scotland took home the bronze medal on 23 March 2025, after defeating Wales in the third-place playoff in front of a sell-out audience in Wolverhampton; notes that male and female competitors from across Africa, Asia, Oceania, the Americas and Europe took part in the tournament that was hosted in venues across the West Midlands; recognises that the sport of Kabaddi is said to have originated in India over 4,000 years ago and involves players earning points by crossing into their opponent’s territory and returning safely; understands that Kabaddi is the second most watched sport in India and attracts a global audience of millions; commends all of the Scotland team for a truly inspirational performance on the world stage, and wishes the team every success for future competitions.
