That the Parliament extends its warm wishes to all those celebrating the festival of Eid ul-Fitr in Scotland, the UK and across the world; notes that the joyous occasion follows 30 days of fasting during Ramadan; understands that it is a time to reflect on the values of Islam; recognises the immense contribution of Muslims in Scotland, and beyond, across various sectors, such as healthcare, education, business and politics; considers that Islam's values of family bonds, acts of charity and reflection are crucial, especially in times of adversity; believes that the inspiring contribution made by the Muslim community has helped create a more inclusive and vibrant society in Scotland; hopes that this Eid brings joy, unity and harmony to all, and wishes everyone an Eid Mubarak.
