Mark Mason Awarded HealthCare Scientist of the Year Accolade at Chief Scientific Officer Awards 2025

That the Parliament congratulates the biomedical scientist, Mark Mason, on winning the coveted HealthCare Scientist of the Year award at the Chief Scientific Officer’s Healthcare Science Awards; notes that the national awards ceremony is held as part of healthcare science week to celebrate the skills and expertise of healthcare scientists across Scotland; understands that Mark is a prominent biomedical scientist at Sandyford Sexual Health Services, and allows the clinic to offer a world class satellite laboratory for near-patient microscopy; further understands that Mark is also involved in academic research, which, it believes has been critical in improving treatment options and outcomes for patients; commends Mark for all of his hard work and dedication, and wishes him all the best for the future.
