Two Pupils from Woodfarm High School Excel in Public Speaking Competition

That the Parliament congratulates East Renfrewshire residents and Woodfarm High School pupils, Ben, on receiving the senior trophy and Lilou, for winning the junior trophy, for their impressive speeches in the Public Speaking Competition Final 2024-25; understands that 10 junior and 11 senior speakers qualified for this event and were given separate topics for each of their finals; commends Ben on his fantastic speech on the topic of "The most misunderstood concept in the world" and believes that Lilou showed her talent for public speaking on the topic of, ‘What makes a hero’; understands that Young Speakers Scotland has been continually utilising this event to give bright young people in Scotland from all backgrounds the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills; congratulates the whole school community, which is extremely proud of both Ben and Lilou for their amazing achievements, and wishes them well in their bright futures ahead.
