North Ayrshire Pupils Pitchin' In at Rugby Park

That the Parliament acknowledges the efforts of secondary school pupils from Irvine Royal and Kilwinning Academy, who took part in the Pitchin’ In programme at Rugby Park; recognises the initiative for what it sees as its promotion of positive community engagement, reducing youth offending and fostering strong relationships between young people, Police Scotland and local organisations; commends the young participants for their enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to engage in discussions on social responsibility and personal development; notes that the programme, which is run in partnership with Kilmarnock FC and the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, uses the power of football to inspire positive change; encourages the continued expansion of what it considers is this impactful initiative to empower more young people across Ayrshire; commends this project, and wishes it continued success.
