That the Parliament condemns the latest round of planned bank branch closures by Santander; recognises what it sees as the important role that local banks play in the community across Scotland; encourages Santander to look again at the list of proposed closures; understands that access to cash, especially for older residents, will be more challenging after these closures, and notes that the recommendations of Link, which has identified towns where a banking hub could be built.
