  • Submitted by: Willie Rennie, North East Fife, Scottish Liberal Democrats.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 20 March 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16864

That the Parliament recognises that 2025 marks the 160th anniversary of the Fife sight-loss charity, Seescape, which is based in Glenrothes and provides support for people with visual impairments through special rehabilitation, social groups, home visits and drop-ins at its centre; believes that the charity has a significant impact on blind and partially-sighted people; notes that it is holding a year-long fundraising initiative to support its work and commends everyone who is taking part; further notes that Seescape is the operating name of the Fife Society for the Blind, and understands that the charity relies heavily on volunteers and fundraising; thanks it for all of its hard work over the last 160 years to improve the lives of people with sight loss across Fife, and wishes Seescape a great year in celebrating this fantastic milestone.
