New Cumnock Development Trust Celebrates International Women’s Day

  • Submitted by: Carol Mochan, South Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 17 March 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16821

That the Parliament celebrates the successful International Women’s Day clubbercise and brunch event held by the New Cumnock Development Trust on 8 March 2025; commends them for holding welcoming inclusive exercise events that promote healthy lifestyle choices; believes that classes held in a darker room can remove some anxiety or stigma for those who do not regularly exercise; welcomes the focus and determination and what it sees as their efforts to give fun and free opportunities to people within rural and under-resourced communities; recognises what it sees as the vital benefits of providing physical movement and social interaction that is accessible to everyone, and finally, wishes the trust success in any future events.
