That the Parliament congratulates the Renfrewshire schools Houston Primary and Moorpark Primary on being announced as winners in the Keep Scotland Beautiful 2025 Pocket Garden Design Competition; understands that the annual competition invited pupils, from ages three to 18, to design a pocket-sized garden that includes food for people, is beneficial for wildlife and reuses materials; further understands that there were more than 130 entries across 18 local authority areas, which surrounded the theme, Our Heritage, commends Houston Primary, in succeeding in the P5 – S2 category with the design, The Scot’s Garden, and Moorpark Primary on winning in the Nursery - P4 category; understands how this competition enables children and young people to engage with heritage, food and nature, while also providing a learning environment that promotes sustainability; acknowledges that this competition also supports schools aiming to achieve Scotland’s learning for sustainability action plan, Target 2030; commends the schools on their successes, and wishes them good luck in June 2025, when all winning entries will be shown in an online showcase and an overall winner will be chosen.
