That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Campbeltown Courier and the Argyllshire Advertiser both recorded an increase in their weekly sales in 2024; understands that they recorded a 10.3% increase in average weekly sales, according to data from the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), while the Oban Times recorded a flat year-on-year circulation; notes that sales across the whole Wyvex Media portfolio grew 5.7%; understands that it was the only UK publisher to increase its overall circulation in 2024; further understands that the Campbeltown Courier and Argyllshire Advertiser doubled their number of digital subscribers, while the Oban Times saw an 84% increase in its digital subscribers; recognises what it sees as a combination of top quality journalism across Wyvex Media's titles, and a focus on delivering local news and a loyal readership being the main reasons for these positive ABC figures; believes in the value and importance of local media, and congratulates all involved in Wyvex Media'a titles for what it sees as this tremendous success.
