That the Parliament recognises the 10th anniversary of the opening of Marion's House, a "Home from Home"; notes what it sees as the incredible support provided through the charity Young Lives vs Cancer for families who have a young loved one going through cancer treatment; understands that the key objective of Marion's House is to offer free accommodation for families to stay close to their child while they are undergoing cancer treatment, thereby alleviating the financial and emotional stress of a cancer diagnosis; further understands that its premises is only an 11-minute walk from the nearest hospital, The Queen Elizabeth and Royal Hospital for Children, and that it provides 11 ensuite bedrooms, a play room and lounges, allowing young cancer patients to be close to their loved ones; commends the wonderful staff on their unwavering commitment to providing such vital services, and congratulates the staff, volunteers, funders, and all those involved in Marion’s House, on nearly a decade of helping families stay together during difficult times.
