Congratulating Govan's Gilded Lily on International Women's Day

That the Parliament recognises the ongoing contributions of Gilded Lily Inspiring Enterprise CIC, a community-led social enterprise that has been based in Govan since 2016, and which provides workshops and training programmes for women in the local community; understands that the key objectives of Gilded Lily are to inspire and empower women and girls, build resilience, community cohesion and integration through learning new skills and activities, and reduce isolation and barriers to opportunities for women; further understands that its premises provide a culturally safe and supportive place where women can express difficulties and celebrate successes; commends the staff and volunteers on their commitment to providing workshops, training programmes and drop-in classes, encouraging and inspiring women and girls to succeed in their own ambitions; commends the staff and volunteers on nearly a decade of dedication to the empowerment of local girls and women, and wishes them well with any future endeavours.
