Congratulating Gleniffer High School's Cameron Keay on Scoring Four Goals Against England

  • Submitted by: Neil Bibby, West Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 04 March 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16668

That the Parliament congratulates the Gleniffer High School pupil, Cameron Keay, on scoring four goals for the Scottish Schools boys under-18s football team against England in the first Centenary Shield fixture of the season; understands that Cameron, who plays as a striker for Morton under-18s, not only contributed to Scotland's 6-2 victory over England at Cappielow Park in Greenock by scoring, but also captained the team; recognises that Cameron's coach gave him the opportunity of a standing ovation from all who attended as he was substituted in the 88th minute to a rapturous reception, and notes that he will soon join his teammates in playing another home nation, as they look to build on their fantastic start, when they play an away match against Wales.
