  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 04 March 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16661

That the Parliament congratulates Grant Gregor on officially passing out as coxswain for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI); understands that, in 2021, Grant became Aberdeen’s youngest all-weather lifeboat mechanic to pass out and, in 2022, qualified as helm of the inshore lifeboat; further understands that, in 2024, Grant took on a full-time position as a regional resilience mechanic, in which he provides vital support across lifeboat stations throughout Scotland; notes that the RNLI relies on the dedication of its volunteers to ensure that lifeboat stations across the country remain fully operational, and wishes Grant and his colleagues safe operations and all the best for the future.
