That the Parliament recognises March 2025 as Brain Tumour Awareness Month; understands that the month will be dedicated to highlighting the importance of research on treating brain tumours; understands that brain tumours kill more people under 40 than any other cancer; notes the launch of the Scottish Brain Tumour Research centre of excellence in July 2024, which hosts scientists from the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh and focusses on accelerating research into glioblastoma and other ground breaking treatments for brain tumours; acknowledges the roles of two charities, Brain Tumour Research and Beatson Cancer Charity, and calls on the Scottish Government to support more work into brain tumours.
