That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy North Primary School on being recognised as a Language Friendly School; recognises what it sees as the enormous effort made by its staff to achieve this recognition as Scotland’s first and only Language Friendly School and notes that the school is one of only six in the UK to be awarded this recognition; understands that 21 different nationalities are represented, as well as 21 languages spoken, among the roll of 176 pupils; further understands that the school has created a Language Friendly School action plan and runs a weekly lunchtime language club, and commends the school for its celebration of the diversity of its community and its efforts to welcome speakers of all languages in an inclusive fashion.
