That the Parliament recognises that 24 February to 2 March 2025 marks World Gaelic Week; understands that World Gaelic Week, which was established in 2022, provides an opportunity for Gaelic to be celebrated across the globe; appreciates that the initiative aims to raise the profile of the Gaelic language through wide-ranging community engagement efforts, such as workshops in schools, as well as an impressive programme of events, including dances, presentations, and accompanied walks; welcomes that World Gaelic Week offers opportunities for fluent speakers, learners, and those with an interest in picking up more Gaelic to develop their skills; understands that the theme for World Gaelic Week 2025 is "Building Connections", encouraging people to celebrate the ways in which language brings communities together, and wishes those organising or attending an event during this World Gaelic Week all the best.
