That the Parliament congratulates Barmulloch Community Development Company on receiving a grant of £3,250 from The Merchants House of Glasgow; understands that the community is badly impacted by food insecurity and that the monies from The Merchants House will mean that it can offer a weekly Meet and Eat social and improve access to what it sees as a vital necessity for local people; acknowledges that it is also hoping that the project will help reduce social isolation in the community, which, it believes, has a detrimental impact; believes that this is possible thanks to the generosity of The Merchants House, and understands that the Barmulloch Community Development Company is owned and run by local people working together to create vibrant communities in the north east of Glasgow.
