As an amendment to motion S6M-16510 in the name of James Dornan (Calling for a Boycott on Israel's Sporting Participation), leave out from "recognises" to end and insert "considers that sport can and should be used to build bridges between communities, nations and those of differing views or religions; does not believe that punishing athletes, or sweeping general attacks on the wider populous, is the way to disagree with the actions of the governments of the countries from which they come or represent; believes fundamentally that football, and sport more widely, should not be the home of exclusion or intolerance based on the nationality, race, religion or ethnicity of the participants, nor used as a proxy to make wider geopolitical points, and further believes that, despite holding views of concern about the ongoing nature of the conflict in the Middle East, on which there is much to agree, sport is not the place for what it sees as such antagonistic political division, given what it considers is its continuous ability to bring people together in times of conflict, as, it believes, history often well proves."
