That the Parliament recognises the success of the Great Wilderness Challenge, established in 1986, where more than 500 participants take part in a 25-mile walk or run through tough Wester Ross terrain each year; understands that the race has raised over £4.7 million for local charities since its beginning; celebrates the donation from Great Wilderness Challenge of a new emergency vehicle to Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team, which supports the race every year by providing first aid and rescue services to those who need them; commends the lifesaving work carried out by the volunteers of the Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team who regularly use these vital emergency vehicles to rescue casualties across 2,600 square miles of terrain, and who selflessly volunteer their services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
