That the Parliament is enthused that a new community hub is set to open at The Hive in Alloa; understands that The Wasp Community Club announced the initiative as part of a project by the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) Trust, which is an independent, registered charity that works in partnership with associated SPFL clubs across the country, helping them to deliver change that improves people’s lives; believes that community hubs will be located at 10 football stadiums in Scotland, providing a safe space for people to seek help, find hope and connect with essential support services; understands that the initiative was inspired by a successful model at Aberdeen and aims to replicate this work right across the country, and that The Wasp Community Club is one of 10 community trusts to receive funding for its hub from the SPFL Trust; believes that the project will be rolled out in two phases, with the Alloa venue opening in October 2025 as part of phase two; acknowledges that through The Wasp Community Club’s partnership with HomeStart Clackmannanshire, Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface and local schools, the hubs will offer more than just a welcoming environment as each are planned to provide hot food and a relaxed atmosphere, where people can access advice and support from a range of partner organisations to deliver targeted assistance to help with a variety of challenges, from housing and financial advice, to mental and physical health, as well as overall wellbeing, and commends everyone involved for their highly magnanimous community endeavours.
