That the Parliament welcomes the recent news that Scotland will be hosting the sixth European Rural Parliament; celebrates the fact that delegates from 40 European nations will be gathering in Aberdeenshire in October 2025; recognises that the European Rural Parliament is a large-scale participative democratic process, which was set up to amplify the diverse voices of rural and island people from across Europe; commends the work of Aberdeenshire Council, the Scottish Government and Scottish Rural Action in their efforts putting together a successful bid for this major event; wishes everyone involved in the European Rural Parliament every success, and looks forward to engaging with the outcomes of its work.
