That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on the success of Spectra 2025; notes that Spectra, Scotland’s Festival of Light, took place from 6 to 9 February, and featured 15 artworks located in various locations around Aberdeen city centre by artists from the UK and Australia, as well as an assortment of street performers, dancers and musicians; understands that over 100,000 visits were recorded across the four-day free-to-attend event, which had a theme of "Journeys" and included a 50 metre long multi-sensory walkway that featured the heartbeats of over 65 Aberdonians, a sprawling illuminated fungal network and a large-scale video installation projection comprising of four stained glass designs inspired by works in the city’s collection; recognises that Spectra is now in its 11th year, and hopes that it continues to inspire and entertain residents and visitors to Aberdeen for many years to come.
