That Parliament congratulates four organisations based in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency on securing support through the National Lottery Community Fund in the most recent round of awards; understands that a total of £227,069 was received following successful application from the local groups; commends Group Recovery Aftercare Community Enterprise (GRACE), which was set up to support people through life trauma, for securing a £165,055 grant to run weekday and weekend sessions covering a range of activities; understands that the classes aim to build friendships and community support networks helping individuals to feel valued; further understands that this grant is for three years and will run in both Hillhead at Kirkintilloch and Auchinairn; notes that Twechar Community Action has received a £20,000 grant to cover running costs for their community hub; congratulates Deafblind Scotland, HQ is in Kirkintilloch, which has received a £27,714 grant to continue to provide information and advice to people with newly-diagnosed dual sensory loss, including their financial rights and entitlement to welfare benefits; applauds Acorn Shed Music for securing £14,300 for a two-year project delivering beginner singer/songwriter/musical tuition to aid people with mental health issues, loneliness or low confidence, and gives thanks to all who give their time, energy and experience in supporting these groups to have impact in Strathkelvin and Bearsden.
