That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Thistles, Scotland’s national netball team, on their invitation to compete in the fifth edition of the PacificAus Sports Netball Series in Brisbane in February 2025; recognises that the Scottish Thistles team was the only European team invited to the PacificAus Sports Netball Series; acknowledges that the team is currently ranked 10th in the World Netball Rankings; recognises what it considers to be the value of netball in supporting women and girls in local communities and with their physical and mental wellbeing, and notes that Netball Scotland's membership has grown to over 10,000 in the past year, an increase from 8,000 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
