That the Parliament recognises and congratulates Helen Leigh, an athlete with Inverness Harriers, for her outstanding achievement in becoming the North Cross Country League Women’s Champion, and for her winning debut at the National Masters Cross Country Championships in Dundee; notes that Helen Leigh clinched the North Cross Country League title with a dominant performance, securing victories in all four races that she participated in at Evanton, Peterhead, Nairn and Forres; believes that this remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication and the strategic advantage afforded by her background in hill running; acknowledges the significant milestone of Helen gaining first place during her participation in the Scottish Masters Cross Country Championships, competing against some of the country's top runners in the 40 and over age group, and commends the role of the Inverness Harriers Athletics Club in fostering Helen's growth as an athlete, which, it believes, has enabled her to achieve new levels of success and set ambitious goals for future athletic pursuits, including improving her 10k time.
