That the Parliament recognises the 2025 Edinburgh Chinese New Year Concert and 10th Anniversary Celebration, which took place at the Usher Hall on 1 February 2025; understands that the event was organised by the Asian Association of Culture Commerce and Education in Europe (AACCEE) to mark the Chinese Lunar New Year and celebrate 10 years of AACCEE; notes that AACCEE was founded by education consultant, Jessica Guo, in 2014, and focuses on introducing Chinese language and traditional culture in Scotland; acknowledges that the event featured performances from Chinese and Scottish artists, facilitating cultural exchange; congratulates the organisers on delivering a successful event, showcasing the rich artistic heritage of China and Scotland; thanks all those who performed at the event; understands that the Chinese Lunar New Year 2025 is celebrated between 29 January and 12 February and marks the change from Year of the Dragon to Year of the Snake; notes celebrations across Scotland and worldwide, and wishes all those who celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year well.
