That the Parliament recognises 4 February as World Cancer Day 2025; acknowledges that the theme for 2025 is #UnitedbyUnique, placing people at the centre of cancer care, as behind every cancer diagnosis is a unique human story of resilience, grief, hope and healing, and celebrates and commends Scotland’s medical professionals, nursing staff and healthcare workers, as well as those developing treatments, who, it believes, work tirelessly to provide person-centred care, treating patients with compassion and empathy and who ensure that people with cancer never feel like they are just another statistic.
