  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 10 February 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16365

That the Parliament is delighted at the news of an outdoor play area at a Clackmannanshire nursery, which has received a gift of two tonnes of sand; understands that Coalsnaughton Early Learning Centre is in the process of having its grass area renovated, and that staff and parents have been working hard to fundraise for this and for new equipment; notes that plans to invigorate the sandpit were assisted by Tillicoultry Quarries; understands that the company dropped off two tonnes of sand to replace the empty pit, which had deteriorated through use and impact from the weather; further understands that the nursery is also looking at expanding its back garden to provide a fully utilised play area for the children to use; commends the Tillicoultry Quarries for its highly magnanimous donation, and congratulates everyone at the nursery on their extremely proactive work for the benefit of the children who attend.
