Ross McGinn Named Tweeddale Citizen of the Year 2024

That the Parliament congratulates Ross McGinn on being named Tweeddale Citizen of the Year 2024; notes that Ross, who has lived all his life in Innerleithen, has made a huge number of contributions to the local community over the decades, including, but not limited to, acting as chairman of Innerleithen Community Trust, caring for High Street floral displays, managing a team of volunteers who maintain the multi-use path to Cardrona, running a programme of historic walks in the town, volunteering with the Borders Children’s Panel, involvement with the community council and involvement with the local amateur operatic society; considers that Ross represents the very best of civic pride and community spirit, and thanks him for his substantial contributions to his community over the years.
