That Parliament congratulates S2 pupils at Lenzie Academy in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency for triumphing in a top climate change challenge; notes that the “Use Your Voice” competition was set up jointly by climate education programme Protect Our Future and global visual library Open Planet; understands that the winning pupils will invest their £1,000 prize in an educational initiative focused on championing sustainability and biodiversity by building an apiary to host beehives on their school grounds; praises the students for capturing the hearts and minds of judges with their passionate short films on climate action; commends the project for inspiring young people to engage with climate education, and thanks the dedicated teachers at Lenzie Academy who, it understands, encouraged pupils to enter the competition to drive positive change in the local community and demonstrate the impact individuals can have on the environment.
