That the Parliament congratulates the Ayrshire Lok Oi Association for hosting a successful Lunar New Year celebration at the Volunteer Rooms in Irvine; recognises that the event aims to share important traditions and culture across communities; notes that the association was formed with the aim of promoting health, wellbeing and social connection among the East Asian community and all ethnic minority groups across Ayrshire; acknowledges the dedication of Joe Chan, chair of the group, and all committee members, many of whom it understands have lived in Ayrshire for most of their lives; commends their efforts in supporting Hong Kong British Nationals Overseas and other communities through activities and events, and wishes the Ayrshire Lok Oi Association continued success in its work to bring people together and celebrate cultural heritage.
