That the Parliament congratulates The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation, which has reached the major milestone of contributing more than £2 million to good causes across Moray, the Highlands and Islands and the north east since it was established; recognises that the Foundation was created using the couple’s personal legacies with the intention to give back to the communities that supported them and helped Baxters of Fochabers grow into an international company; acknowledges that it is run and managed by a board of trustees who have supported local groups, organisations and good causes around the area, from health and wellbeing projects, to the arts and heritage, education and sport, conservation and the environment; notes that, to date, 535 awards have been made, totalling £2.17 million, and understands that these grants have delivered substantial benefits to the individuals, organisations, groups and communities involved, and wishes The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation every success as the funding application round for 2025 gets underway.
